The Beach

After a week of no Internet, its good to be back. But during that week my family and I went to the beach!

We went to Wrightsville Beach in north Carolina, which happens to be a b-e-a-utiful beach. The water was emerald green and so warm. At the beginning it was calm, but on our last day it was so rough that the lifeguard placed out a red flag.

While we were there, we just HAD to check out the infamous USS North Carolina. TAPS went there and said it was haunted so we decided to do our own little tour. First off, it was hot hot and HOT! By time we got out my clothes were sticking to me. But any who, the ship was SO big, I was afraid we were going to get lost. To get back up to the top from what seemed to be the lowest part, we had to step over some chains and cut through areas that we off limits (whoopsies.). And OMG I've never seem so many flights of stairs. And they we SO narrow, you could only walk down each step one foot at a time. In this one room, it was FILLED with huge bullets. The rooms in this boat were so tiny, it was hard to believe that more then 10,000 people were on it at one time!

Our hotel room was ah-mazing. It was two rooms, two bathrooms, and two TVs. We had a balcony that overlooked the ocean. in front of the room where the door is was a marsh. At night from the balcony on a clear night you could see a face in the moon...it was cool but kinda creepy! In the living room part of the suite, there was a kitchen with fully stocked cabinets: glass plates & cups, silverware, pots & pans, blenders, toasters, corkscrews and more!

Gorgeous eh? I don't think you could see the face in the moon, but its there!

Summer reading

It was bad enough that teachers gave us homework all school year round. But now, if you are in Pre-AP, you have summer reading. I think that's the worst part of being in Pre-AP English, for all of my classes are easy.

And its not like they choose good books. It would be okay if they said "Read The Clique" or another good book, but the ones they have chosen are the worst books they could chose.

This year I am blessed with being assigned to read "Around the World in 80 Days" and "Forbidden City". You know your jealous.

For "Around the World in 80 Days", I have to fill out this 5-page long study guide. And when I get back to school we have this huge test that I know I'll forget the material for.

My friend said "Forbidden City" is such a boring book. I'm taking her word for it. Luckily there is no test for it.

Well my mom put a "Blackout" on all computer things, so i guess this is my last blog until next Saturday. Ciao Bella!

Missing things

So as you know, I cleaned my room (yay me!). The only reason why i did it was to find my brown eyeliner that I love. I searched every square centimeter looking for that pencil and it was no where to be found.

So my mom and I went shopping yesterday. There was a makeup section in the store so I decided I would buy another brown eyeliner. When I got home and looked on my dresser (which was thoroughly searched and cleaned) there was my brown eyeliner that I loved and that was missing for the past three weeks.

I swear something is screwing with me. I still can't find my key chain that was missing since Christmas and earrings that are missing.

But now my mom and I are starting our own ghost investigation. We are calling our"business" C.R.A.P.S. Translation? Crazy Roanokers Attacking Paranormal Societies. We have all of our equipment and are ready to solve paranormal occurrences!! Lol you must think we are crazy.

Blinging rings!!!!

So when I cleaned my room 2 days ago I found this little booklet on how to make rings. To pass the time yesterday, I made every single ring in that book. Two of each (as you can tell I was really bored).

There was 'The Butterfly' ring. When that ring is done, it is so b-e-a-utiful. There was another ring called 'The Vine'. It seriously does look like a vine. And there is 'The Starburst' which is a flower on a simple strand. 'The Twist' is a sophisticated beaded ring, i believe. 'The Chain' is what i normally make/sell, so its probably the easiest to make now. My personal favorite is the "Daisy Chain". Its not that hard and its so pretty when its done.

And yesterday my dad said I sold a ring....YAY EH??? Well now I have more to add to the Glitz collection!

summer cleaning

So yesterday I ventured where no sane person would go...under my bed. I was looking for my brown eyeliner, so i cleaned under my dressers. Then it was the floor. And then i had a crazy thought that it was under my bed. So I cleaned it. I started at four, and finished cleaning at twelve-fourty-five. I was so tired I almost collasped.

Luckily I prepared and had a garbage bag handy whne i ventured to my bed. It was filled to the brim before I was done with my dresser. Mounds and mounds of dirt surronded my room when i emptyed the things out of my bed. Its a wonder how I got everything put away.

I finally finished under my bed around eleven. But then my dressers and bookshelves where messy. That didnt take as much courage as going under my bed did. I cleaned non-stop tot he sound of music till I was finally done.

It took a while, but right now, my room is spotless. I wonder how long that would last...

Wash day

So I have the cuteest little doggie ever. Yesterday for one of my chores i had to give him a bath, outside with the hose. Now that little boy hates the hose and is quite scared of it. So giving him a bath with it is a challenge.

First when i got him out side his leg got tangled with the leash (he has a bad leg) so I had to take it off of him. I think that was his plan too, 'cause then he ran to the door. He wouldn't go back down the stairs so i could wash him so I had to do it there. My mom said that I would get the sunroom wet but I didnt listen...i just washed him there. Whne i was done i realized i soaked the floor of the sunroom...but anywho, that dirty boy was clean.

Now the extremely challenging part was to try to stop him from rolling in the dirt. Hes a dog and LOVES to play in the dirt. Luckily he leg hurt so he didn't want to go down the stairs. Needless to say, I have a clean, soft little pup.

This is my little boy...

... isn't he a cutie??

A walk in the valley

This morning my mom and I took a walk down by the river. She said it was four miles back and fourth, but I was up to the challenge.

The scenery was beautiful. Unless of course you looked in the river and caught a glimpse of a empty bag of chips. Or you looked at the skate park adorned with graffiti. Or you saw the dog poo a dog left. Or you heard the whistle of a passing train and saw the train yard. But I think you got my point.

It twas a hot day...and it was only 12 o'clock! I'm glad we didn't leave at three or it would be burning up.

The sound of the rushing water of the river was instantly relaxing, although there was the passing train. As we walked through the park there was a party going on. The smell of barbecue lingering through the air was mouth watering. It was nice and cool on the trail in the park because of the shade offered by the canopy of trees. The best place to rest was in the park as well, being that there was a ton of benches.

Halfway through the trail there was this bench. But instead of facing the scenic river, it was facing a gravel-filled plot of land. And in that plot of land there was a big sewer pipe directly in front of the bench. Now that's a b-e-a-utiful sight, eh?

Sitting on the rocks in the river was a duck. And it was just sitting there, doing nothing. That was some lazy duck. There was an abundant amount of squirrels on the trail too. On the way back to the car there was this HUGE bug (my mom said it was a gypsy moth). It was so disgustingly big that it should of had a leash on. Just another "scenic" part of Roanoke i guess.

Wheres the Geek Squad when you need them??

Its about that time of year when my computer gets its annual virus. Its kind of ironic that my computer has many virus and spy ware protection but it still gets it.

I've had probably every new virus since i got that computer. This one i s just a bit more "elaborate" then the others. Instead of lagging, things don't even come up when you click on 'em. And when the stupid wireless connection actually connects, millions of pop ups come on my screen. and weird ones too! i seriously don't think I need Boflex(it was on a pop up).

And weird programs download them selves. Just last night as i was online this program called "WinAntiSpyware" just started downloading, and before i could hit cancel, it was done. done done and done. Then trying to get rid of it was a hassle! Then this morning as i signed on, a new pop up for "WinAntiVirus" came up. I think this virus is in cahoots with the "WinAntiSpyware" company.

For some reason I think the hackers know when I'm going away. This always happens a couple of weeks before we go on vacation. Being that I have a laptop, we take it on vacation and currently it looks like the only place its going is a repair shop. ugh. again.

Today's hackers must be really smart if they could make a program that crashes a whole hard drive. And they have to have a lot of time on their hands. Must be nerdy too...i bet they all work for the Geek Squad!

Now if you excuse me, there are pop-ups on my computer I have to exit out of. Ciao!

No more math!!!!!

Summer Break just started and it already feels like a month.

One good thing of summer is no more math teachers. You have no idea how happy that makes me.

I think its a typical stereotype that math teachers are old lady's who are evil and cast spells on trouble makers...this year my math teacher was like this, just minus the spells. We had a quiz every week, at least once. Sometimes we even had it twice. Once in a blue moon we never had homework...unless you include studying.

Her class was the hardest class I have ever been in. We did at least two lessons per day and never went back on them until the day before the test. She did have tutoring, but they started at 7:30 and its very hard to try to get there on time, thanks to that stupid traffic light. And when you did get there, she already went over the thing that you needed help on.Thank goodness I was in first period. If I was in seventh period, I would of forgot everything that I learned during the tutoring session.

In the beginning of the year, it was rare that I got a B on the quiz/test. But later on in the year, I started making better grades. My goal for the whole time I am in that school was to get a 4.0 every year. And this year I was so close!! But obviously she couldn't let that happen. I needed to make a 98 for the fourth nine-weeks so I could get an A in math and get that 4.0 that I worked hard for. When she told us our final grades, I was so mad. For the full year in that advanced math class, I made a 93.45. And she wouldn't give me any help so I could get five-hundredths of a point to get my perfect 4.0. That strega....
