So today my mom took me to the eye doctor see if i am ready for contacts. He said yes and needless to say I'm wearing contacts!
The hardest part i think is taking them out. I have long nails and it was very hard trying not to poke my eye out with 'em!
But right now i love contacts. I look so different and i cant even feel them. I just love it!

I keep my nails short in large part because of my contacts. I accidentally poked a hole in my contact with nails when I was in high school, then had to wear glasses again while waiting on a replacement. Some people can get the knack of contacts and long nails though. I just never could. Good luck to you. I've had mine since I was 13 - almost 20 years - and I would never go back to glasses unless I had no choice.
I think I may have to give your doctor a try. I like him. Maybe I can go back to contacts too with the right fit.
Ya I just cut all of my nails this morning when i had a hard time putting them in. Its really hard to see with just one contact in though. I feel the same way: im only wearing glasses when i totally need to like riding in the car for a long time.
And you should get contacts from my doctor...hes probably the best doctor i have, and you know i have alot.
